Private Pay Considerations for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

For KAP to be most effective, a number of medicine sessions are recommended with a minimum of three being agreed to before treatment starts. Following two intake sessions, a number of preparation sessions are recommended to work on establishing a therapeutic relationship and to identify targets for treatment. An integration session is scheduled within three days following each KAP session to consolidate insights gathered in the medicine session. Several psychotherapy sessions can be scheduled after the last integration session, but at least one is required to close out treatment.
